  2. COPYING PICTURES TO THE CLIPBOARD OR DESKTOP
  3. ============================================
  4. You can copy a variety of pictures or screens from Microsoft Ancient Lands to the Clipboard. If you copy to the Clipboard, you can paste 
  5. the picture into other Macintosh programs. 
  6.  
  7. To copy a picture:
  8.  
  9. 1. Click the Options button to display the list of choices.
  10. 2. Click Picture Gallery.
  11. 3. Display the picture you want using the arrow keys
  12.     or the Gallery List.
  13. 4. Click Copy Picture to copy the picture to
  14.     the Clipboard.
  15.  
  16. To copy a screen:
  17.  
  18. 1.  Go to the screen that you wish you copy.
  19. 2.  Click and hold on the Edit menu to display a list of choices.
  20. 3.  Select Copy to copy the screen you are currently viewing to the Clipboard.

  23. PRINTING
  24. ========
  25. You can print any article screen or popup window in Microsoft Ancient Lands. Both pictures and words on the screen will be printed, so 
  26. printing may take a few minutes.

  28. To print:
  29.  
  30. 1. Make sure what you want to print is shown on the screen.
  31. 2. Click and hold on the File menu to display a list of choices.
  32. 3. Select "Print Page..." to display the Print dialog box. 
  33. 4. Click OK to begin printing.

  36. CONTROLLING SOUNDS
  37. ==================
  38. Microsoft Ancient Lands has several kinds of sounds:
  39. * Background sound effects
  40. * Narrations that you hear with article transitions
  41. * Pronunciations of glossary words when you click
  42.    a highlighted word or a sound icon in a glossary popup
  43. * Guide paths
  44. * Movie sound tracks
  45.  
  46. You can turn off the background sound effects and narrations.  To turn off 
  47. the background sound effects and/or the narrations:
  48.  
  49. 1. Click the Options button to display a list of choices
  50. 2. Click Sounds to display the Sounds dialog box
  51. 3. Do one or both of the following:
  52.    * To control the narrations, check or clear 
  53.        the Narration check box.
  54.    * To control the background sound effects,
  55.       check or clear the Sound Effects check box.
  56. 4. Click OK.

  59. STARTING A SLIDE SHOW
  60. =====================
  61. You can set up Microsoft Ancient Lands so that the program will 
  62. display articles randomly on the screen. It's a great way to find out 
  63. what's in Microsoft Ancient Lands.

  65. To start the slide show:
  66.  
  67. 1. Click the Options button to display a list of choices.
  68. 2. Click Slide Show.
  69.  
  70. The slide show starts automatically, displaying screen after screen 
  71. of Ancient Lands. To stop the slide show, just click anywhere on 
  72. the screen.

  75. CLOSING WINDOWS AND QUITTING
  76. ============================
  77. You will open many windows as you explore Microsoft Ancient Lands.  It's easy to close them.

  79. * Click the close box in the upper-left corner of the window.

  81. When you've finished exploring the world of Microsoft Ancient Lands:

  83. * Click and hold on the File menu and select Quit.
